How To Increase Productivity 🚀

We all know how good it feels after ticking off the tasks from our list and that too in an effective and efficient manner. We all want to be productive at our work yet a lot of us are unable to do so in a sustainable manner. In my school life, I always used to do things at the end moment just before the deadlines and doing so has helped me in becoming somehow productive at my studies and in my internships. 1. Create a to-do list 📃 It is very important to get rid of unnecessary thoughts which go in our mind. And to do so we have to write a to-do list. Before starting our day we should create a list of tasks which we need to do in a day. In this way, we would not forget anything and also there would be more chances that we complete these tasks. Also, by writing things down we don't have to use our energy to recall those tasks in our mind and we would be using that energy on other important things. Whatever you do be it assignments, projects, shopping, etc make friends with lists. 2....

How the habit of journaling can change you into a better person

I have been journaling since the beginning of this COVID outbreak and I found this habit of writing regularly so much beneficial. I feel much lighter, my thoughts are more organized, my writing has improved. Here are some of the reasons why you should journal. For Self Reflection 🌻 On an average day, we do a lot of things and a lot of t h oughts are going in our heads. We learn a lot of new things, we make various mistakes, we are engaged with various people. But, a lot of us don’t spend time introspecting. By writing journals, we can get rid of all those thoughts as we jot them down on a piece of paper or laptop. By writing journals, we can stop for some time and we can focus on ourselves and then come out with a lot of positivity. We can use the journals to write about what mistakes we made and then try not to repeat those mistakes. We can use it to think about how we have developed from what we were before. By self-reflecting, we would be able to get to know ourselves better and ...

My Favourite apps and websites this summer (Includes various tips to get Canva, Microsoft 365 and much more for 🆓)

I try to be as minimalistic as possible when it comes to applications and websites which I use regularly. By being more minimalistic, I can save a lot of time and also being able to create better output in my daily life as a student. Here are some of the websites and apps which I use: 1. OneNote ✍ The first one on the list is OneNote. I find that OneNote is the best application when it comes to note-taking. It is very simplistic and since it comes from Microsoft, I am pretty much used to its interface and find it very easy to work on this app. Also, apart from its simple interface, I like the dark background in it. I also use this as my primary text editor app and then I copy-paste the text to Word to create a Word Document for assignments or other purposes.           Maintaining a notebook in OneNote helps me to keep everything organized under various sections and subsections. I like that OneNote is accessible on all my devices ...

Quality 🆚 Quantity

I have been a bit inconsistent with my blog these days. One of the reasons is I have been procrastinating a lot these days and I am writing lesser. There is a common problem which I have seen in a lot of people. Many people prefer quality over quantity. I had this notion as well in my school days as well as in my initial college days, but when I write posts for this blog, I prefer to write whatever I feel might be helpful and don't bother much about the end result.   I had read a case study where a teacher divided the students into two groups. One group would be marked based on the quality of their best pot and the second group would be marked on the number of pots created. Now, among these two groups, which group do you think created better pot? Most of you have picked the one which had one goal to create a perfect pot. But the second group beat the first one. The reason is quite insightful. The first group was focused on creating a perfect pot they ended up expecting higher...

My favourite YouTube Channels right now!

These days I don’t watch much on YouTube like I used to watch previously. My consumption on YouTube and other digital platforms have been low these days. I do read books but I don’t feel like consuming much content for the past couple of weeks. So here are some of the channels which I enjoy watching now. Vivek Bindra Vivek Bindra is a motivational speaker and I like watching his videos to get motivated during these hard times. I prefer watching the case studies of Vivek Bindra and I have watched a few videos of the Gita series which were also pretty good. I would suggest you all if you haven't watched his videos to start watching his videos. At least watch the case studies of the leaders which he makes regularly. Think School Think School is a great channel if you are into Marketing and Business. He makes a lot of case studies about various organizations. I started watching the videos of this channel recently. But I have been quite impressed by the content of the videos. Do w...

The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel - Notes

Today, in this blog I would be talking about a book that has changed my mindset and I have a new perspective now on a lot of things and that is not just about money but life as a whole. 📖 Who should read this book? This book is for everyone. This book talks about how behaviour influences our financial decisions more than logic and it talks about various ways by which we can not only become a better investor but also a better person ✍ My Highlights and Notes. The premise of this book is that doing well with money has little to do with how smart you are and a lot to do with how you behave. He gives examples of two people. One man worked as a janitor his whole life, but he had accumulated a wealth of 8 million dollars after his death. If you ask how he was able to do so, the answer is simple he invested in blue-chip stocks and led a very simple life. Also, there was an engineer who earned a lot of money but he used to spend like crazy and later on his lifestyle made him bro...

Steal Like An Artist by Austin Kleon - Notes

Hello everyone, today I am starting a new series of blogs where I would be sharing a few quotes from books and would explain them. The main purpose is to give you an idea about the book and also summarize the book in the best possible manner and also you can refer to this blog if you have read these books to revise. Today, I want to share my favourite book which had motivated me to start this blog, and yesterday I read it again and it helped me to get back to writing. ✍   Notes and Highlights   Those who do not want to imitate anything, produce nothing. I have seen that a lot of us want to do be a perfectionist and do innovative stuff but the problem is that would not result in a product most times or the quality won't be that good. But, if you keep practicing and put in the ideas from other artists in your work, the end result would be much better There isn't a move that's a new move. This quote has been said by Kobe Bryant. He says that he has tried to copy the moves of ...
